A Zen Space For Growth

UWCK partnered with Altec Inc.’s Reach Higher Committee and students in the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program at College View to create a Zen Garden. Volunteers contributed to the project by laying sod to establish the garden, building benches and tables for seating, constructing a pergola for shade, and installing a barrier wall for added privacy. Additionally, they addressed an old, non-functional koi pond by covering it and revitalized the surrounding area through landscaping. Trees, flowers, and bushes were planted, and stones were laid to create a serene and visually appealing environment for students to enjoy. Learn more about the project here.

Operation Good Neighbor exemplifies the spirit of community service

UWCK partnered with Altec Inc.’s Reach Higher Committee and students in the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program at Hardin County residents faced critical home repair needs to the entrance of their home. UWCK partnered with the national organization World Changers to address these needs by building a front and rear deck. Baptist Health and UWCK spruce up North Park Elementary

Staffers from Baptist Health Hardin and Baptist Health Medical Group offices donated volunteer labor to North Park Elementary School in preparation for the start of the new school year. UWCK not only matched the volunteer group with the project, but also facilitated the delivery of materials, including a load of mulch, which was donated by the City of Elizabethtown and delivered by the City of Radcliff to help refresh the school’s landscaping.
