United Way of Central Kentucky receives donation from Plastikon Industries

United Way of Central Kentucky (UWCK) received a $2,775.92 donation from first-time campaign partners Plastikon Industries on Friday. The donation was presented at Plastikon’s manufacturing facility in Leitchfield, located at 918 Commerce Drive.

“At UWCK, we are driven by the idea of creating community, which is made possible through impactful partnerships with businesses and organizations in our five-county region,” said Christa Shouse, Director of Development at UWCK. “We are appreciative of Plastikon Industries’ donation and for our new partnership, and we are particularly excited about the prospect of growing our partnerships in Grayson County.”

Headquartered in Hayward, California, Plastikon Industries and its subsidiaries operate several facilities around the world, providing plastic products to the automotive, medical and consumer sectors. The company has had a presence in Leitchfield since 2006 and currently operates two facilities in the city. In 2017, the Leitchfield plant underwent a 110,000-square-foot expansion.

Through collaboration, UWCK helps regional businesses and organizations meet their corporate philanthropy goals through workplace giving and volunteer programs for employees, without the need for heavy fundraising or management efforts. While Workplace Campaigns are drawing to a close, there is still time for businesses to schedule a campaign. To learn more, email Shouse at cshouse@unitedwayck.org.
