Brianne Smith named Director of Community Engagement at United Way of Central Kentucky

United Way of Central Kentucky (UWCK) has named Brianne B. Smith as their new Director of Community Engagement. In her new role, Smith will facilitate volunteer coordination and will help forge new community partnerships to further UWCK’s work to improve education, financial
stability and health and basic needs within their five-county region.

Leveraging years of experience working in the community, Smith will work to facilitate volunteer-led
projects such as UWCK’s Operation Good Neighbor and other community-based programs.
“Brianne’s expertise and dedication will be instrumental in fostering new community partnerships and advancing UWCK’s vital work in the region,” said Christa Shouse, president and CEO of UWCK.

Prior to joining UWCK, Smith worked in the Baptist Healthcare System in various roles over 12 years. Her roles spanned various capacities, culminating in her most recent position as the Clinical Coordinator for Baptist Health Medical Group, Gastroenterology, where she worked closely with Dr. Kashif Haider for the last five years. She is a Hardin County native who graduated from North Hardin High School and attended ECTC. Outside of her professional endeavors, Smith actively contributes by volunteering with her church’s preschool, assisting neighbors and supporting local community charities.
“I am honored to join UWCK and am eager to work closely with volunteers, fostering community
engagement and making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families in our region,”
Smith said.
